And if you want to make a quick and easy stop for pictures of the Teton Range, the Teton Glacier Turnout is one spot that you can go!
Driving the Grand Teton scenic loop drive to Teton Glacier Turnout
You will find the Teton Glacier turnout along the 42-mile Grand Teton Scenic Loop Drive.
This is an easy stop to make as you are driving along the scenic loop road.
You’ll come across it as you’re driving.
The Teton Glacier Turnout is located right off the main road. There’s a parking lot for the Teton Glacier Turnout.
There is also a picnic area at the Teton Glacier turnout.
Cost to go to Teton Glacier Turnout
Teton Glacier Turnout is within the paid entry area of Grand Teton National Park.
So in order to go to the Teton Glacier turnout, you need to pay the national park entry fee. In 2021, this was $35 per car for a 7-day pass. (There is no one-day pass.) See current fees.

If you will be visiting at least 3 national parks in one year, then you may want to consider getting the annual national parks pass.

Driving to Teton Glacier Turnout
The Teton Glacier Turnout is located along Teton Park Road of the Grand Teton Scenic Loop Drive.
Teton Park Road is the road through Grand Teton National Park that runs along the base of the Teton mountain range. It’s the road that’s closest to the Tetons.
Explore the map. If you are looking at this map in the winter and it’s showing that there are no driving directions available, it’s likely because the road is closed.
The quickest way from Jackson WY to Teton Glacier Turnout is around a 30 minute drive with no stops. If you follow google maps, then the route will be driving up the western side of the Grand Teton scenic loop drive. But if you’re making it a round trip from Jackson Hole, then you may consider doing the loop by starting off on the eastern side, and then loop back down on the western side to finish up the loop and to get back to Jackson Hole. The drive below is reflected entering Grand Teton National Park at the Moose entrance on the southern side of Grand Teton National Park. Entering from the Moose entrance means that you’ll be driving the Teton Park Road on the western side of the scenic loop drive.
If you are driving up from the south (like from Jackson) and decide to drive up the eastern side of Teton Park Road, then this is how it would be. Driving along from the Moose entrance to Teton Glacier turnout, you’ll first pass by the Windy Point Turnout.
👆 You’ll pass by the Windy Point turnout when you’re driving to Teton Glacier turnout.
Then as you keep driving, you will soon come to the Taggart Lake trailhead.
👆 You’ll pass by the Taggart Lake trailhead parking when you’re driving to Teton Glacier turnout.
👆 From the Taggart Lake trailhead (also the Bradley Lake trailhead) you can hike to Beaver Creek, to Taggart Lake, and to Bradley Lake.
Then continuing along the drive, you will soon see the Teton Glacier Turnout!
And then you can go for a little walk around!
And once you have taken in the views of the Teton Range from the Teton Glacier Turnout, you can move on to more of the Grand Teton Scenic Loop Drive!
You can make it a long stop next, as you will soon come to the road to the Lupine Meadows trailhead. This is where to start the hike to Surprise Lake, Amphitheater Lake, and Delta Lake. Hike to 1 lake, 2 lakes, or all 3! See more about day hikes in Wyoming with amazing mountain views.

Then soon after that, you might want to make the turn up ahead at the North Jenny Lake Junction to see the Cathedral Group Turnout and to do the Jenny Lake Scenic Drive to see the mountain views from the popular Jenny Lake Overlook!
