How to see the Teton Range in Grand Teton National Park

1. Teton Park Road

The best scenic drive to see the Teton Range is Teton Park Road!
This is part of the 42-mile Grand Teton National Park scenic loop drive.
The Teton Park Road is the western part of the scenic loop drive that gets you closer to the Teton Range.
This makes the Teton Park Road the best scenic drive to see the Teton Range. You don’t even need to get out of the car!
But if you do want to get out of the car, there are tons of stops you can make to take in the views even more!

2. Mormon Row barns

One of the most iconic pictures of the Teton Range is of one of the Mormon Row barns.
There are several barns in the Mormon Row Historic District of Grand Teton National Park with the backdrop of the Tetons.
The famous barn of the Tetons is the Thomas Alma Moulton historic homestead.
You can drive to this as part of the Grand Teton scenic loop drive.
3. Delta Lake

One of the most iconic hikes in the Teton Range is the Delta Lake hike.
Delta Lake is one of the famous lakes of the Teton Range.
You’ll start the hike by driving to the Lupine Meadows trailhead which will give you more amazing views of the Tetons.

👆 How to see the Teton Range: There are many roads off of the Grand Teton scenic loop road that you can drive to take in the views of the Teton Range, including the road to the Lupine Meadows trailhead. (You can drive to the trailhead even if you have no intention of hiking the Teton mountains!)
The hike to Delta Lake is a strenuous hike of around 8 miles round trip.
You’ll follow the Amphitheater Trail to get to the unofficial Delta Lake trail junction. It can be easy to miss, so be sure to look into it before you go! (In short, download the mapsme app for hiking in the Tetons of Wyoming!)
You can add to the hike to see more mountain lakes of the Teton Range by hiking to Surprise Lake and Amphitheater Lake too. This will make it around 13 miles round trip.
Whether you choose to hike to 1, 2, or 3 of the Teton lakes, you will be hiking UP to get to any of the lakes!
4. Taggart Lake Trail

If you’re looking for an easier hike with views of the Teton Range, then there is the Taggart Lake Trail.
The Taggart Lake trailhead is located off of Teton Park Road.
For this Grand Teton hike, you will be staying at the base of the Tetons so it is mostly flat.
5. Jenny Lake Overlook

For a scenic lake in the Teton Range that doesn’t require any hiking, there is the Jenny Lake Overlook.
To get to the Jenny Lake Overlook, you will drive the Jenny Lake Scenic Drive which is located off of Teton Park Road.
As you drive towards Jenny Lake Scenic Drive, you will get more amazing views of the Tetons.
