ALOHA!
Among the most popular food on the Tropical Tribe menu is the acai bowl.
An acai bowl is a thing in Hawaii.
So if you want to do something in Waikiki that’s so Hawaii, well, there you go! Have an acai bowl in Waikiki!
Although to be clear, acai berries are from Brazil! For an actual “so Hawaii” bowl, you can look for pink dragon fruit bowls in Waikiki when it’s in season!
You can also get an acai smoothie at Tropical Tribe.
There are several Tropical Tribe locations on Oahu.
You can find a Tropical Tribe in Waikiki, Ala Moana, and the North Shore.
Below is about the Tropical Tribe Waikiki Beach location!

👆 My post-swim drink was an acai smoothie from Tropical Tribe! I did open water swimming / Waikiki snorkeling from the beach in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village (where there’s a Waikiki Beach food truck) to the beach in front of Tropical Tribe!
Waikiki Beach extends for around 2 miles long, and there is a Tropical Tribe that is near the far end of Waikiki Beach, on the Hilton Hawaiian Village side. (This is also the side of the Waikiki fireworks! In fact, a perfect spot to watch the Waikiki fireworks is the beach in front of Tropical Tribe!)
More specifically, the beachfront resort to reference for the Tropical Tribe along Waikiki Beach is the Outrigger Reef.
So if you’re staying at the Outrigger Reef, it’s an easy walk to get to a food spot in Waikiki!
Tropical Tribe is basically at the Outrigger Reef, which is at the end of one side of Fort DeRussy Beach.
If you are staying at the Outrigger Reef, Fort DeRussy Beach is your beach! Or, walk a little further and just next to this beach is also the Duke Kahanamoku Beach which is the beach in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village which is a Waikiki Beach snorkeling spot!
You can very easily walk from the beach to the Tropical Tribe.
Also located right next to Tropical Tribe are the Steak Shack and a Waikiki location of Banan, more popular Waikiki Beach food spots!
You can buy your food and then eat at the beach, one of the Fort DeRussy Beach Park tables, or the grassy area of the park!

Or if you want a comfortable indoor seating environment, then there is also a designated Tropical Tribe seating area too that comes with ocean views.

Before you head into Tropical Tribe, you want to be sure to walk out onto the “pier” that’s directly in front of Tropical Tribe!
Well, that is if you want a chance to see turtles in Waikiki!
This is probably one of the most reliable spots to see turtles in Waikiki!
As you are walking out, have a look into the water to see if you can spot a turtle!

How to get to Tropical Tribe Waikiki
You can get to this part of Waikiki Beach by taking the Oahu bus. The nearest bus stop will be a couple of minutes away.
Or, depending on where you’re staying and how much you’re willing to walk, you can of course just walk!
Whether you’re arriving by bus or arriving by foot from street side, you will look for the path to Fort DeRussy Beach Park.
If you take the path near the Outrigger Reef, then once you arrive at Waikiki Beach, Tropical Tribe will be at the building directly to the left!

Or, if you are coming from the Hilton Hawaiian Village, then you can walk the sidewalk directly along Waikiki Beach to get from the Hilton Hawaiian Village to Tropical Tribe!

👆 You can walk along Waikiki Beach to get from Hilton Hawaiian Village to Tropical Tribe. This is looking in the direction of the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Once you arrive at the building that Tropical Tribe is in, you will probably first see Steak Shack and Banan.
You will walk up the stairs and down the “hall” to get to Tropical Tribe!

👆 Your trip to Tropical Tribe will come with views of Diamond Head! (In the picture above, that’s Diamond Head off to the right!)

👆 Off to the left is the path you’ll walk down if you arrive to Waikiki Beach from street side. Then, you’ll go up the stairs to get to Tropical Tribe.

👆 To the right of Steak Shack is a little hallway, and that’s the way to Tropical Tribe.
