International Market Place is a shopping mall.
There are many places you can enter, but if seeing the banyan tree is your goal, the best entrance is at Kalakaua Avenue. For google maps, you can look for the Don Ho Statue. This entrance is across the street from the Waikiki Surfboard Alley. (map)
You can walk around the International Market Place banyan tree on the first floor, then take the escalator to go to the upper level so you can see the massive nature of this Waikiki banyan tree from above!
Moana banyan tree
The Moana Surfrider is a historic hotel in Waikiki that’s a Westin resort in Hawaii.
It’s a beachfront hotel and you can see the banyan tree with a walk along Waikiki Beach. If you walk Waikiki Beach at night, then you can see the banyan tree lit up.
Walk on the streetside of Moana Surfrider on Kalakaua Avenue and you will see the grand architecture of the Moana Surfrider.
Walk into the hotel through the front and keep walking straight and it will lead you outside to the Moana banyan courtyard.
As soon as you get outside, the banyan tree will be right in front of you!
Look up and around to see how the different tree trunks are actually connected together at the top!
Keep walking, and you will be at the Moana Surfrider beach bar.
Keep walking more, and you will be at Waikiki Beach, with views of Diamond Head!
From here, if you are looking for more things to do in Waikiki for views, you can make it into a Waikiki Beach walk by walking to the right towards the Royal Hawaiian so you can see another iconic hotel! (It’s a perfect view from beachside!)
