ALOHA!
The Waikiki surfboard alley is an alley in Waikiki where you can see tons of surfboards lined up!
Yes, just as you guessed… 😜
If you walk the surfboard alley, then you will end up at Waikiki Beach!
And you can even get views of the iconic Diamond Head!
If you need an excuse to go to the Waikiki surfboard alley, there are plenty of excuses for you!
Just across the road from the entrance to the surfboard alley is the International Market Place, which is one of the big shopping areas of Waikiki.
If you want to try an iconic North Shore food spot without going to the North Shore of Oahu, then there is a Sunrise Shack in Waikiki that is a few minutes walk from the surfboard alley.
And then there is also the Honolulu Burger Company (with “island range-fed beef”) and the Cheesecake Factory that is just a few minutes walk from surfboard alley.
And then the best excuse of all is because you want to try the “plant-based goodness” of Banan. You can order the specialty island-style pineapple yacht or shave ice.
There are a couple of Banan locations in Waikiki, including right in surfboard alley!
Or you can generally just walk down Kalakaua Avenue as it’s a main street in Waikiki!
Although not as iconic as the surfboard fence in a small Maui town, the Waikiki surfboard alley is still an instagram-friendly spot in Waikiki.
In September 2022, I did a walk through the Waikiki Surfboard Alley!
Anyone can walk through the Waikiki Surfboard Alley.
You will find the surfboard alley across the street from the International Market Place entrance that’s on Kalakaua Avenue across from the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. (You can get to the International Market Place from several different streets.)
On google maps, it’s listed as the Waikiki Surf Alley.
👆 You will find the Waikiki surfboard alley along Kalakaua Avenue. This is also a beach access path.
