ALOHA!

Among the most popular food on the Gilligan’s Beach Shack menu are the jumbo garlic shrimp and grilled mahi tacos (aka fish tacos).

Garlic shrimp from a food truck and fish tacos from a food truck are both a thing in Hawaii.

So if you want to do something in Waikiki that’s so Hawaii, well, there you go!

Shave ice is also a thing in Hawaii, and you can get that at Gilligan’s Beach Shack too.

Waikiki Beach extends for around 2 miles long, and the Gilligan’s Beach Shack food truck is at the far end of Waikiki Beach, on the Hilton Hawaiian Village side. (This is also the side of the Waikiki fireworks!)

So if you’re staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, it’s an easy walk to get to a food truck in Waikiki!

The food truck is basically right next to the the famous Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon and the Duke Kahanamoku Beach.

 

 

The Duke Kahanamoku Beach is the Waikiki beach facing the ocean that is in front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. This is also one of the Waikiki Beach snorkeling spots!

If you are staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Duke Kahanamoku Beach is your beach! Or, just next to this beach is also the Fort DeRussy Beach! Walk a little further to the end of Fort DeRussy Beach and you’ll find the Steak Shack and a Waikiki location of Banan, more popular Waikiki Beach food spots!

You can very easily walk from the beach to the Gilligan’s Beach Shack food truck.

You can buy your food and then eat at the beach or a grassy area nearby.

Or there are also benches along the Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon boardwalk that loops around the lagoon.

 

 

When is Gilligan’s Beach Shack open?

Gilligan’s Beach Shack is CLOSED on Tuesdays!

 

👆 According to a sign posted in 2022, Gilligan’s Beach Shack is closed on Tuesdays.

 

Other than that, it’s generally open from 11am to 4pm.
