Hi there!
So a trip to Point Iroquois means a trip to the shores of Lake Superior in the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula.
Here, you can see where the Point Iroquois Lighthouse stands.
This is one of the many Lake Superior lighthouses.
You can make it a part of your Lake Superior lighthouse road trip alongside Crisp Point Lighthouse and Whitefish Point Lighthouse.
It also means a trip to the shores of Lake Superior. There’s a boardwalk that starts from the lighthouse that will allow you to take a walk along the shoreline.
There’s a small beach area where you can also try searching for special Lake Superior rocks.

A bit of what a trip to Point Iroquois can be like!
PHOTOS!
I made a visit to Point Iroquois in July 2020.
At that time, the Point Iroquois lighthouse museum and tower was closed because of healthy safety reasons. In normal times, it would be possible to climb up the lighthouse tower to get grand views of Lake Superior, and even look across the lake to see Canada!
To see if the museum and tower will be open in 2021, you can take a look at the Hiawatha National Forest website before you go.
Even if the lighthouse building is closed, it’s still possible to walk around the lighthouse grounds and along the Lake Superior shoreline.
So you can make your destination for google maps the Point Iroquois Lighthouse and it will get you there. You’ll end up on the Whitefish Bay National Forest Scenic Byway.
And then you’ll see a glimpse of the lighthouse as you drive into the parking lot!
So once you park, the lighthouse will be like right there and then you can walk around the lighthouse grounds.
Also stop to read the informational signs that will tell you about some history about the Point Iroquois area of Michigan!

From the lighthouse, you can get a glimpse of Lake Superior and you’ll also see the trail that leads to the shoreline. The boardwalk makes somewhat of a loop around.
