My first Road to Hana trip was as a group tour organized by the Maui hostel I was staying at.
The scheduled lunch stop was at the Braddah Hutts food truck, so that’s how I ended up eating here… and knowing about this Hana food truck!
Since it’s called “BBQ” you might want to go for their specialty!
Fish tacos are a thing on Maui, so I decided to go for the fish tacos.

This is located directly off of the Hana Highway.
So you just need to know the sign to look for and you’ll drive right past it as long as you continue driving on the Hana Highway!

There’s a parking area at the food truck.
There’s also an outdoor seating area.
In terms of location, this could make the perfect lunch spot.
The food truck is located near Hana town, just past the main area, which means that you’ll come across it after you’ve been on the road (along with some Road to Hana stops) after a few hours.
You just might be ready for food! You can make this your planned lunch stop.
You can also make a stop here before or after a trip to the famous red sand beach (Kaihalulu Beach) or the famous black sand beach (Waianapanapa State Park) as these are both pretty nearby. It is also near Hamoa Beach, which is also considered one of the best beaches in East Maui.
