Yes, you can do your own laundry while camping in Florida when you are staying at the Fort Wilderness campground, whether you are tent camping or RV camping!

You can wash your clothes and dry your clothes in the laundry room at the Fort Wilderness campground.

How to do laundry at Fort Wilderness

A Fort Wilderness comfort station is basically the bathroom and showers… and a few other things… like ice, and… the laundry room!

 

 

There are many comfort stations located throughout the Fort Wilderness campground.

So no campsite is too far from a comfort station, and this means that you will never be too far from being able to do laundry when you are camping at Disney World!

So when it’s time to do laundry, you will go to the comfort station.

 

 

The laundry room is located in the middle of the building.

There’s the women’s bathroom on one side of the building, the men’s bathroom on the other side, and then in the middle between the 2 bathrooms is the laundry room.

 

 

So you can just walk right in.

Or if it’s locked, then you will use your key card to get into the laundry room. (You will get a key card when you check in for your Fort Wilderness campsite.)

So you can do your laundry any time of day or any time at night.

And then once you walk in, you’ll see the washing machines and dryers.

 

 

 

How much does laundry cost at Fort Wilderness?

The cost of using the washing machine is $3 per load.

The cost of using the dryer is $3 per load.

So it will cost at least $6 to do a load of laundry at Fort Wilderness.

You pay for laundry using a credit card. You will see the machine to pay at with directions when you are in the laundry room.

 

 

If you didn’t bring laundry detergent, then you can also buy that in the laundry room.

You can buy the laundry detergent at the vending machine inside the laundry room.

 

 

The cost of the laundry detergent is $1 for a box. You will also pay for it using credit card.

 

 

You can also buy dryer sheets in the laundry room.

That is also $1 for a box, and you can also find that in the vending machine.

 

 

Or, better yet, make it an item for your Disney World camping packing list: put some dryer sheets in a ziplock bag!
