Hi there!
So you’ve decided you want to go to a beach on Captiva Island!
Yes, you can drive to Captiva Island!
Captiva Island is one of the islands in Florida that you can drive to, and you can drive your own car to get there.
If you are looking for parking to go to a Captiva Island beach, there are a few beach parking lots that you can go to and hope there is parking.
And yes, you may have to hope!
The public Captiva Island beach parking lots are small.
Similar to the Sanibel Island beach parking lots, it’s quite possible that you will arrive to a full parking lot.

Then, once you are able to find an open parking spot, it will be a walk of a few minutes to get to a public beach access!

First, the quick list of Captiva Island beach parking lots to get to a Captiva beach public access.

Is there any free parking on Captiva Island?!

Captiva Island toll?!
The way to get to Captiva Island is by driving through Sanibel Island.
First you will drive across the Sanibel Causeway Bridge from “mainland” Florida to Sanibel Island.
Then you will drive through Sanibel Island, and then you will drive across a bridge from Sanibel Island to Captiva Island.
There is no toll on the bridge directly to Captiva Island.
But there is the Sanibel toll to drive across the bridge to Sanibel Island.
So while there is no Captiva toll you need to pay, you need to pay the Sanibel toll to get to Captiva Island.
The cost of the Sanibel toll is $6 per car if you have a pass. If you don’t have a pass, it’s $9 per car. See current fees under Sanibel toll plaza.
If you have a Lee County pass, a Florida SunPass, or any other kind of compatible pass, you can drive straight through and you will automatically be charged.

Captiva Island parking lots near public beach access
1. Turner Beach parking

The Turner Beach parking lot is at the “beginning” of Captiva Island.
It is the part of Captiva Island you will pass first immediately upon driving onto Captiva Island.
Blind Pass is the channel of water between Captiva Island and Sanibel Island.
The bridge that goes over Blind Pass that connects Captiva Island and Sanibel Island is called the Blind Pass Bridge!
You can drive across this bridge, and you can also walk across this bridge for great views of both Captiva Island and Sanibel Island!
Turner Beach is at Blind Pass on the Captiva Island side of the bridge. Blind Pass Beach is at Blind Pass on the Sanibel Island side of the bridge.
There are beach parking lots on both sides of Blind Pass, although they are both pretty small parking lots.
This means it usually requires a little bit of luck to find an open spot at the Turner Beach parking lot!

The cost of Captiva Island beach parking at Turner Beach is $5 per hour.
