Ocean View HI is rural Hawaii with vast lava fields on the Big Island

Ocean View is located at the southern tip of the Big Island and can give you vast views of the ocean and Big Island lava fields.

With homes spread out, this area gives you more of a feeling of rural Hawaii, and you can get that rural Hawaii feeling by driving through Ocean View.

Instead of the cornfields you may think of when you think of rural America, you have lava fields.

It really does feel like a quieter area.

 

 

In August 2019, I stayed at an airbnb in Ocean View HI surrounded by lava fields and it was amazing.

The airbnb listing I stayed at no longer exists, and the owner of this place requested pictures be taken down.

So instead, I’d like to direct you to this airbnb in Puna similarly surrounded by lava fields that was still listed at last check! This place was also amazing.
