Hi there!
The 2 main Captiva beach public access with parking lots are on the far south end and to the north.
Alison Hagerup Beach is the public Captiva beach that is to the north.
This is the Captiva Island North Lot.
The Alison Hagerup Beach parking lot is where to park for Captiva beach that’s more remote compared to the other parking lot!

The Alison Hagerup Beach parking lot is not that big. (Both of the Captiva Island public beach parking lots are pretty small.)
So it might also take a little bit of luck to find beach parking on Captiva Island.

If you do find a parking spot though, it can be convenient to get to the beach.
From the Alison Hagerup Beach parking lot, the public access path to the beach is pretty much right there!
And then the beach is pretty much right there!
So there is minimal walking to get from the parking lot to the beach.

If the Alison Hagerup Beach parking lot is full, there are people who wait around to see if someone will leave soon.

Otherwise, you can try the other (small) Captiva Island beach parking lot (which you will pass on your way to Alison Hagerup Beach).
Or you can try one of the Sanibel Island beach parking lots that are bigger.
